CyberOptics’ SQ3000 3D AOI system wins all UK evaluations in 2018


We are delighted to announce that we have won every on-site head to head evaluation with CyberOptics’ SQ3000 3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) system that we were part of in the UK in 2018. Up against all of the main competitors, it proves that over a four week period or more, CyberOptics comfortably out performs the competition. IPT/APP announces new distribution partnership with Ginolis

In April, IPT/APP announced a new distribution partnership with Ginolis. Ginolis provides innovative automated solutions for the manufacture and processing of microcomponents for medical device and diagnostic products.

Under the terms of the agreement, IPT/APP will market, sell and support Ginolis’ entire portfolio of assembly automation, liquid handling and quality inspection solutions across the UK and Ireland.


Holes in Packaging Compromise Sterility of Ecolab Klerpack Syringes

The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency issued a warning that sterility may be compromised in Ecolab’s Klerpack BD syringe multi-pack due to small holes in the packaging.
If holes are present, there is a risk that the syringe may no longer be sterile. The holes cannot be detected visually, and there is a high likelihood of syringe packaging being compromised, Ecolab said.

PCE and Tracelink in live serialisation demo


At a recent Track & Trace event at PCE headquarters in Zwingenberg, PCE and Tracelink demonstrated the capability of the PCE Site Manager Software to download serial numbers from the cloud, run them through a PCE XMV Datamatrix station and subsequently upload the completed report to Tracelink. A number of customers attended from Germany, the UK and Spain.


Delivering on Serialisation

The European parliament finally published the delegated acts in February of this year, allowing producers 3 years to become compliant with the regulations. The addition of a unique code on the carton coupled with an anti-tamper device on the carton itself is a positive move by European Authorities to protect the consumer from counterfeit products entering the supply chain. The law states that the regulation will now enter into force on February 9, 2019.
